Lettering on façade
Tim Ronalds Architects, responsible for enlarging and refurbishing the Victorian theatre proposed the large lettering. The letters, made of terracotta backed by concrete, stand proud of the surface of the building. Their form echoes 19th-century theatre posters.
Letter ‘M’ in the workshops. The stars shown in the drawing were to be reflective, but cost prevented their realisation.
